Pictures from the ice...

One of the studies going on here - obviously these guys aren't too busy. The biodiversity of this section of rocks left our heads spinning.

Andrea laying on a crack in the sea ice on hike around Cape Armitage - a 2.5 hour hike from the New Zealand base to our base on the sea ice. When the sea ice melts, so will this hike.


Mike on Observation Hill above McMurdo. Many of the explorers came here to look out for ships and to watch the movement of the sea ice. We think that we came up the same trail created by people like Scott and Shakleton.
