We went to a birthday party for one of Bec's classmates this week at McDonalds. The play area was way cooler than most of the play areas in the States. The whole place was set up for birthday parties. When we came in they asked us what we wanted (or mejor dicho, which type of disgusting food-like material would we want to choke down) and then the kids played. After a while, two employees grabbed all the kids and led some games. Some of the games involved the parents and we ended up on the floor of McDonalds as the kids climbed over us. They did the cake and then we ate. They have a few different traditions that we loved. It was really fun!
There are two things that we want to incorporate now in our future birthday parties. The birthday boy, of course, gets the first cake. They brought the cake to him and he took a huge bite from the entire cake. He just shoved his face into it and went after it. Awesome.
They also had a pinata...who doesn't have fun with a pinata. They let 20 kids take several whacks at it and had the pinata on a fancy pulley system. That thing was going all over the place. A couple of times the kids that were watching almost got whacked as the hitter was chasing this thing as it swung all over. Such a thrill!
