The chocolate was finished well over a month ago, in fact almost two months ago. It was fun to try. I dried the cacao beans, roasted them, peeled them, and then crushed them.
The instructions on the web had you use machinery to crush the beans into a chocolate syrup. We did not have anything that could come close to helping out. So I rolled the beans under one of our glasses. The taste was, not surprisingly, chocolately. It was basically a baking chocolate. I then mixed it with butter and sugar. We ate it, it was pretty good and little crunchy though. Now I would like to try for real, I just don't know if it will ever happen.
